Daphne, Alabama, sits on the shore of Mobile Bay and is known to many locals as Jubilee City. In this context, a jubilee is a natural phenomenon where shellfish appear in abundance on Mobile Bay's shores. The locals love it because it's easy to catch crab, shrimp, and flounder, and they even show their love by making it the focus of one of the local festivals. Mobile and the surrounding areas also host several other festivals and events throughout the year. Here are some of the upcoming events.
